Our genenal license for the product you buy will be included in the product in a text file.

To summarise our licenses are generally on the following lines and shortly we will include full updated details on this website.

Primary License

Our products are supplied on a as is but good and fit for purpose basis. We do not make claims we cannot fullfill. However we accept that many server configurations are different and therefore offer a money back guarantee exists if the software doesnt work or we cannot adjust it to work on your configuration within 30 days.

We hare happy to assist in the implementation as we can learn about more configurations and adapt our software to be as easy as we can. Where we supply test programs to check your configuration prior to purchase/installation then we list which parts of your configuration are needed to make our software compatible. Providing the items needed are there then the gurantee will apply.  OUr test files are a simple file you upload to your server and run from a broswer. The items needed are clearly listed and generally basic such as PHP 4.2 and upwards, Mysql V 4 etc. We try to avoid more complex requirements that some hosting may nor have and therefore it should work with most hosting including shared hosting where you often have no control over feature sets or php.ini updating.

Lifespan

the free update period is clearly marked for each product and is general for the series number, eg version 1 license will apply untill version 2 is released if indeed it gets that far. We gurantee that each version number will work for life however we cannot be responsible if you change hosting or major changes are make to say the server software used. We will try to provide updates for all older software in the event of major changes such as the change to PHP version 6 whenever it comes out. Although most hosting will no force through these changes for often a number of years.

In the event we move up to a major version level say from level 1 to 2 then a hugely discounted upgrade version will be available to existing users.

Future paths are we expect chicart to remain in version1 for at least 2 years andthe same with Chicform. Major changes are likely to be major rewrites and we will be offering both versions as they will have different feature sets.
